Base Areas for collection and drop off our vehicles.
What are Base Areas?
At Kendall Go, our goal is to make our vehicles as accessible as possible for our members in the Wandsworth area. Instead of limiting access to designated parking spaces that might be inconveniently located, we allow our vehicles to be picked up and returned anywhere within the Base Area Border in line with our parking permits (see information on our parking permit further down the page). With four vehicles available in each area through our app, you can always expect a vehicle to be just a 2–10-minute walk away.
How will I know where my vehicle is when my booking is due to start?
15 minutes before your reservation start time your will be assign a vehicle for your booking and will then be able to see where in the Base Area your vehicle is. The Kendall Go App will work with your mobile phone maps to be able to direct you to the vehicle.
Returning the vehicle to the Base Area.
Before your reservation ends, please ensure that you are within the designated Base Area and parked in a valid parking space. Our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking, allowing the app to confirm whether you’ve returned to the Base Area. If you attempt to end your hire outside this area, the system will notify you and prevent the hire from concluding until you return to the appropriate location. Be aware that exceeding your reservation time may result in additional charges
Parking Permits
Our Kendall Go vehicles come will All Zone parking permits and there for can be parked in most location within the Base Area. However, the following restrictions do apply –
- You may use our parking permit to park within the borough in business, permit holder or shared use bays. It is not valid in in residents or Pay and Display only bays, private roads, off street carparks or on any Housing Estates operated by the Housing and Community Services department, who operate their own controls, which are clearly denoted by a sign bearing a double alpha zone e.g., AD. Kendall Go members will be liable for the issue if a penalty charge notice should this information not be followed.
- The use of parking spaces may be suspended by police officers, parking attendants or duly authorised council officers, therefore check you parking space is valid before parking the vehicle.
LDN WW 1 Base Area.
Our first base launch in February 2024 which has the added benefit of having one of our daily hire branches Kendall Cars Wandsworth within its boundary. Please see the map below to see the boundary line and what roads are within this Base Area.
